Note that Void in function type syntax doesn’t refer to the uninhabited type familiar from Haskell or Rust. Rather, it’s syntactic notation indicating zero inputs or zero outputs. Previously, Void was meant to denote functions that don’t return or don’t terminate, but that was never truly meaningful in practice. Now its meaning is exactly “no inputs” or “no outputs”.
